Major national insurance company selects Pinnacle Data Systems as their business continuity provider of choice to support inhouse operations.
Birmingham, AL – Pinnacle Data Systems, L.L.C., (PDS), a provider of business-critical document delivery services, has added a large insurance provider with a national footprint to its growing list of disaster recovery clients.
“PDS initially provided business continuity as a no-cost additional benefit to our print and mail clients,” said Mitch Anderson, VP of Business Development for Pinnacle Data Systems. “Today, several companies with in-house operations in highly regulated industries like insurance, financial services and healthcare have chosen PDS to meet the requirement for a documented disaster recovery plan.”
The thought of an unexpected disaster that could impact the delivery of important customer policies, bills, statements or letters is something to prepare for, not be afraid of. “PDS tests before we are tested to face a disaster – our recent SSAE 16 SOC II certification ensures that we have an effective plan in place,” noted Anderson. “Our Birmingham and Atlanta production centers include a fleet of laser printers and intelligent inserters with similar processes and procedures in place. In addition, we store paper stock and envelopes for clients at both locations resulting in a true ‘hot’ site environment.”
Shortly after implementation, the insurance client’s print and mail shop experienced several days down due to catastrophic equipment failure. The company declared a disaster and important customer policy packets were seamlessly printed and mailed by PDS until their operation was restored. PDS also provided office space for their staff at no charge and met every Service Level Agreement.
“Our client was impressed with our ability to be the calming force amidst the storm of their disaster with efficient and responsive service,” concluded Anderson. “As an added benefit, they noted the effectiveness of our onsite U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Detatched Mail Units. Documents enter the mail stream pre-sorted at our facilities and go directly to the next USPS facility resulting in faster delivery to the recipient”.
